Hotel Shalom Jeju

There was no gown in the room, so I called the front desk to ask. When I asked the staff, "There is no gown; could you bring one?", they said that gowns are not provided at all. I then asked again, "So are gowns not provided in any rooms?", and the staff clearly answered "Yes." (Curt) However, I remembered that I had been given a gown when I stayed in a suite at the same hotel two months ago, so I went down to the front desk and asked again in person. Only then did they tell me, "Gowns are provided for suites." Initially they said gowns were not provided in any rooms, then later changed their answer to say it depends on the room type. More than the gown provision itself, I was disappointed that the staff did not properly know or explain the services included with each room type. Also, I found hair in the room bathtub. It made me question whether cleanliness and basic room inspections were being done properly. Overall, my experience was disappointing in terms of service response and room maintenance, more so than the facilities.

I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay^^ I plan to use it again next time.

It was nice, but since delivery food is not allowed I don't think I'll come back.. I travel for business alone and there are few solo-dining restaurants on Jeju Island.

2-night review Pros 1. Convenience store on the 1st floor run by the hotel (24-hour self) 2. Friendly staff 3. Mountain view and ocean view are satisfactory and overall clean Cons 1. No eating of delivery food allowed (seems like odorless food might be okay but you feel watched..) 2. The floor is carpeted, which I personally dislike 3. Some furniture seems a bit worn 4. Seems like school trip groups come sometimes.. As someone who travels alone for business, con #1 (no delivery food) is a big issue so I probably won't use it again.

The view is great and it is clean.

It was quiet and tidy.

Cleanliness, service, and location are all great.

I had a good rest while on a business trip. It's clean and nice. ^^
