SL Hotel Myeongdong

It was wonderful. Having a convenience store inside the hotel was convenient. I'll come again.

I arrived as scheduled. After sightseeing I went to check in, but a different staff member attended me than the one who had been very friendly at first. I was told the room had been upgraded from what I booked, but unlike the images I saw when making the reservation, the actual room had no dryer or washing machine and was very small. It was a room located at the far corner past the metal door at the end of the corridor. At check-in I was informed I would be upgraded and was assigned a room, but the room I was given was actually worse. The standard room I reserved included a dryer and washing machine in the images and appeared to have relatively generous space, but the room I was actually assigned just had a larger bed while the entire room was filled with the bed. Inside the room the TV and bed were very close together, leaving almost no free space, and there was not enough space to put simple food or water. With only one small table, the overall feeling was cramped. Also, as soon as I entered there was an unpleasant odor that seemed to be coming from the bathroom. I thought it might be fine after a while and went out, but even after a short outing the smell remained, so I contacted the front desk. Fortunately, they later moved me to a room that was similar to the images I had seen when booking and that was also larger in floor area. However, I was left disappointed that if they had assigned me a room similar to the images from the beginning, we could have avoided the hassle. I do not know whether the person who assigned the first room failed to check properly or why such a corner room was assigned, but the staff who helped with the later change was very kind and handled it well. Overall most of the staff were friendly.

Clean and close to Myeongdong.

I booked because of the BTS concert; the price and location seemed reasonable when I reserved. After staying, I was very satisfied with the room condition and the service. I will visit again.

It was neat and clean, and I liked it.

The staff at check-in was very kind; they even upgraded our room, and the room was clean and great. But at checkout a shorter female staff member's attitude was off... I let it go without saying anything, but she never said things like "hello" or "thank you." We always had to speak first, and she acted cold. Even after checkout when I went to pick up luggage we had left, how could she ignore a guest who said "thank you" first? Her expression was really unpleasant... I didn't say anything, but there were many foreigners around—are you only friendly to foreign guests? Are you only going to do business with foreigners?

It was tidy, and I liked that the bed and bedding were clean.

The room was in great condition and the staff were very accommodating, so I'll probably stay again. Thank you.

The staff are really friendly!! I checked in feeling good because of their kindness and the room condition was great! If I go to Myeongdong or Euljiro, it's definitely SL Hotel.
