Gangneung Solang Horang Hotel by Anuk

I don't think there's a better accommodation than this in downtown Gangneung. I rested well and am heading out.

It's clean, there is breakfast, and the concept is fun, so I come here every time I'm on a business trip.

The room is small, but cozy and comfortable for one person. The bed is big and the TV is large, so lying down and watching OTT is really relaxing. The table is a bit small for putting many things on, but it's sturdy and solid, so it's good for placing food on and eating. The bathroom is clean and has a bidet, so people who prefer bidets will like it. There is a slight odor coming from the bathroom, but it is not strong, so unless you are very sensitive you probably won't mind it much. Drainage is a bit weak. I stayed in a room right in front of the elevator, so you can hear some mechanical noise when the elevator moves, but it is not enough to keep you awake—more like white noise. Noise from other guests is mostly heard in the hallway, so the room's soundproofing seems good. The location has good access to the train station, and the central market is within a pleasant walking distance if you check the map, so it’s a great spot for walkers unless you have heavy luggage. There is also a large public parking lot nearby, so bringing a car should not be a problem. This was my first solo honeymoon and I worried a lot about lodging, but choosing this place was a decision I do not regret—had a great, restful stay :)

Close to Gangneung Station and very convenient. It was a good place to stay alone. I would like to visit again!

I sometimes use the Guri Aneuk branch too, and after going to Gangneung I found an Aneuk I used to visit, so I happily made a reservation by myself! The value was good, and I arrived very late and was hungry but it was too late to order food, so I was going to just sleep. There were ramen, bread, and cereal on the first floor, so I ate well and slept :) I booked the cheapest room since I was only going to sleep, but it is very small so only book it if you plan to just sleep... They have pajamas and a private jacuzzi? I didn't know if you had to reserve in advance so I couldn't use it 😢 If you plan to use those, be sure to reserve ahead of time!
