This is the lakeside view hotel I always stop at when I go on business to Sokcho~ The rooms are compact so they are good for one person or two people to sleep quietly~ When I stay here I always use the breakfast in the morning~ For lunch I go to Yongchugol Migung Sundae Sokcho Gyodong branch for spicy sundae guk~ I used both places on this business trip as well and was satisfied haha The breakfast here does not have many items but it is good value~ (Only one disappointing thing... they removed the sausages so I was sad ㅠㅠ) The sundae guk place is a local Sokcho favorite. It has the richest broth and the most ingredients here haha I will stop by to stay again next time I come on business~^^

This was our last night's accommodation after passing Gangneung and Yangyang to Sokcho. I was surprised by the name change. It is not Orient Hotel but Sunrise Hotel. The best thing was the view. The view is truly artistic!!! If I have to pick a downside: one mosquito ㅠㅠ. There was a mosquito so I asked for mosquito repellent!! The location is within walking distance of Sokcho Jungang Market and near the popular Pungnyeon Restaurant, a convenience store on the first floor, and especially the sashimi restaurant, which is really excellent~~. Highly recommended. The night market across the street was expensive and not as good as expected. However, there are few late-night places open, so the atmosphere is nice. Surprisingly, the first-floor sashimi restaurant was delicious and very fresh, it was a hit!! There is a shaved-ice place next to the hotel that I totally recommend, and the central market is really great. Manseok Fried Chicken and makgeolli bread are must-buys. At Wonjo Donghae Sundae Guk, you must try the pollock sashimi and squid sundae. Across from the hotel, Pungnyeon Restaurant's squid hangover soup is the best. While checking out I forgot to take one outfit, but they called and returned my lost item!! The staff are friendly!!!!!

I booked not knowing it was near Pungnyeon Restaurant. While everyone else took taxis, I enjoyed the leisure of walking. It was clean. It was close to the market and the parking was spacious and convenient.
Location: Very good, adjacent to Sokcho Market View: Nice to be able to see both the sea and the lake Service: Very friendly, front desk and parking guidance Facilities: Feels a bit old but clean. However, the sofa is too old. Good value, so you should check it out.
The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly.
I had a good rest. It was very clean and all the staff were very kind—thank you~
Clean and the location is really good.
I have been using this place since I was 22 before I went to the military, and every year it is very clean and nice. It is also close to the market, so it is very convenient.
I arrived a little after check-in time, but the underground parking was cramped so I had to park in the outdoor lot outside the hotel, which was very inconvenient. The facilities are so-so, just what you would expect for the price. One good point is that it is close to the central market.
The facilities are good, but you can hear music from nearby. You can see the lake and the sea right away. The central market is a 10-minute walk away, so there is no worry about food.
