Denbasta Hotel Daeyeon Branch

I stayed for a 2-night trip and trusted the reviews, but I'm leaving this because I wondered if others might be harmed like I was. I've used Yanolja for over 10 years and this is the first negative review I've written. 1. From the first day after check-in there was constant pounding noise from the floor above. It started shortly after 6 PM and I tried to endure it. Even close to midnight the noise continued, so I called the front desk but got no meaningful response. A male staff member only listened; when I asked him to take action he said "yes," and the call ended. The repeated noise afterward made me very upset. 2. I tossed and turned all night, then went out for my afternoon plans and returned, but the pounding noise was still there. I called the front desk; a female staffer was polite, but when I requested a room change her attitude went cold. (An older woman came up to check but treated me like I was overly sensitive.) 3. They finally agreed to change my room. They said they left the room key inside the elevator and told me to pick it up and go up myself—no apology, which annoyed me. While I was packing to leave, a housekeeping staff member opened my door and came in without ringing the bell or knocking. That angered me even more. What if I had been undressing? 4. I went up to the new room but the sink had no hot water, the window did not close properly so outside noise came in, and I could hear water noises from the air conditioner. They gave me a worse room than the one I had been in. I was too exhausted to complain further. I understand that noise between floors can be a building issue, but it was very unpleasant that staff did not properly respond or check the room they moved me to, exposing me to the noise. Especially opening the door to a room with the key still in it and entering—this made me furious, but I felt there was nothing I could do so I took no action. All I can do is write this review. I do not recommend this place for sensitive guests.
