Kensington Hotel Seorak

This is the place my husband and I visit every year to celebrate our anniversary. We first met at Heeungak on Seoraksan on June 20, and we got married the next year on June 17. So every June we stay at Kensington Seorak and take the Seorak "Gongryong" cable car down. Why we choose Kensington Seorak: First, the hygiene is excellent. I have a dust-mite allergy and am sensitive to bedding, and since I did not itch, the bedding at Kensington Seorak Hotel must be immaculate. I usually change beds or cannot sleep from small discomforts, but the beds are so comfortable I sleep well here. Second, the staff are friendly. From the lobby to the 9th-floor Abbey Road Queen restaurant, everyone was kind and made our stay comfortable. Third, the food is delicious. Abbey Road bread, the green tea bingsu, and the Queen steak are all tasty, and you must try the chicken. Having chicken and beer after riding Seorak is heavenly. Fourth, the value for money. Maybe because it was a weekday, we were always given a complimentary room upgrade. Receiving near five-star service at a reasonable price makes it even more satisfying. Fifth, there are so many photo spots, especially the green Seorak mountain view, the red double-decker bus, the 9th-floor Abbey Road outlook, and the European objets inside. The corridors and rooms feel like a museum.

The facilities were great and the staff were friendly. I highly recommend visiting the top-floor lounge. There are many other sights, such as a guitar with an original Beatles autograph.

I liked the classic atmosphere. The room was clean and the Seoraksan view was superb. It's close to the Seoraksan entrance, so I want to visit again.

The two-day stay at Kensington Seorak was the highlight of my Seoraksan trip bucket list, and I left completely refreshed. They upgraded me to a renovated room, so I could relax even more.

The hotel has a lot of atmosphere and things to see. I was very satisfied with the breakfast. The breakfast view was of the mountains, which made me feel good.

Returning to the Kensington Seorak Hotel after a long time, it was still a shining, wonderful place to stay. The classic, old-fashioned charm made it even more memorable. The uniquely calm atmosphere that cannot be fully captured in photos remains unchanged, which I liked. The hotel staff were friendly and the room condition was as good as ever. The bathroom and bed cleanliness left no flaws. Especially I loved the mood when I opened the curtains in the morning. The view of Seoraksan is truly overwhelming—I hope anyone visiting Sokcho can come and experience it at least once. Rather than a flashy new hotel, this is a place I would recommend to those who want to relax comfortably in nature. If you love nature, I think you will be very satisfied. Even after several years, it was still great ☺️ I might visit again in the fall since it will be even more beautiful then. I rested well in a pretty, comfortable place 🩷

I always use this hotel whenever I visit Seoraksan. I feel sad that I cannot come more often. This time I visited with my husband to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. From the room with a picture-perfect view where Nojeokbong Peak is clearly visible, we were able to relax comfortably and have a great trip. I am very satisfied with the hotel for keeping a cozy and classic feel.

I love Seoraksan, so I come almost every month. This is a hotel where you can park and walk straight to Seoraksan, and parking is free. The hotel has a long history, so it looks old from the outside, but the interior is very well maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well cared for. Each floor has a theme, so there is a lot to see. I think that shows the hotel's great dedication. The breakfast is a great value for the price, with a good balance of Western and Korean dishes. The restaurant view is fantastic—Seoraksan view^^ I am completely satisfied!
