Usually room photos look much better than the real thing, but this place is the opposite. Parking was convenient and it felt like being in a museum.

About this property

[Hanok Stay in Dongseong-ro, Daegu] Arirang Folk Stay is a gallery-style lodging space that fully captures the traces of Korea’s history and culture. The Cheonbugyeong Stele, which commands attention from the moment you enter, and the ancient artifacts displayed in every space and room make you feel as if you’re traveling back in time. The interior design, featuring motifs inspired by traditional hanok such as roof tiles and latticework, recreates the appearance of a traditional hanok, and the artifacts displayed within the guest rooms offer a glimpse into the wisdom of our ancestors. Since its opening in 2010, it was introduced as an exclusive accommodation for VIP tourists and as part of the Daegu alleyway tour route. However, in February 2024—14 years later—it began offering accommodations to the general public to provide a meaningful lodging experience where more guests can fully appreciate the beauty and charm of our traditional culture.
