Browndot Gumi Wonpyeong Branch

I booked check-in for 6:00 but arrived at 7:30 and received the absurd notice, "There is no room," and was told to just wait. They said all rooms were taken because of an athletic competition/officials in Gumi. They could have at least called in advance. Is it this property’s policy to shift the burden onto individual guests who properly reserved and paid? After waiting anxiously for 30 minutes, I went back to the front desk and they were letting the teams check in while telling us our room was still being cleaned and to wait longer. When I pressed them directly asking if there was a room, they finally sighed and said there was a room "waiting" to be cleaned? We were able to check in at 8:30 PM, one hour later. The staff apologized and said they would give us a one-hour late check-out the next day, but we had to leave early and couldn't use it. This place makes the person who reserved feel like an idiot. They seem to care more about group guests than regular reservations. I will never return. Even one star feels like too much. Also, it’s ironic that if you book through Yanolja for 70,000 won it ends up being 60,000 won.
