Ulleungdo Daon Prime Hotel

The price is disappointing, but since this is faraway Ulleungdo, I accept it. I only stayed at this place on Ulleungdo, so I can't be certain, but overall it is not a bad lodging. There are rooms where the bathroom drain smells. Ask for a drain cover. There are no shower gowns. Even for consecutive-night stays, bedding is not changed. They do tidy up the room, though. If you ask, they will give you a new bar of soap. The soap dish is a plastic bottle cap. The floor is carpeted, and maybe because of that, there was a faint musty smell that lingered for me. There is only one room key card, and the rule is to leave it at the front desk when you go out (this does not apply at checkout) and pick it up when you return. If you tell the owner you will take responsibility, they may let you keep it with you. Contrary to the listing on Yanolja, the front desk is not open 24 hours. They leave at 11 PM. They said to call them if any problems occur. There is parking in front of the hotel, but only for about two cars. It is not very easy or worry-free. It might be better to park at the seaside lot by Jodong Port and walk up; even if a car gets bird droppings on it once in a while, you'll feel more at ease.
