There was a stale dusty smell on the first floor and a strange smell on the second floor, and inside the room there was a very strong cigarette smell plus mold. I don’t know if they left the window open on purpose to air it out, but a lot of mosquitoes came in through the screen and I caught about seven before going to bed. The bathroom also smelled odd. The sofa had cigarette burn marks and was darkly discolored, probably from ash, so I didn’t want to put anything on it. Mosquitoes were flattened and stuck to the wallpaper from previous guests killing them, and there were spiders too, so I had to kill them all before sleeping. There was hair on the floor as if it hadn’t been cleaned after a short-stay guest left. It was a bit cheaper than other places, but this is not acceptable for around 60,000 won — it’s not in the 20,000–30,000 won range.

I booked with low expectations because the price was cheap, but overall it was fine. The facilities are not very new or special, but there was no inconvenience for staying and the room was basically kept clean. It’s a decent place if you just want a cheap place to sleep.
