On Naver Maps it is marked as a guesthouse and the exterior looks quite old-fashioned. However, you can see a lot of effort has gone into making the interior clean, and the bathroom is spacious. You can notice the limitations of an old building in places, but compared to a regular motel there is not much difference. In fact, it was brighter and I liked it more. Some reviews say Dongmun Market is close; it's not right next door but about a 15–20 minute walk. The nearby neighborhood restaurants are friendly, and there is the Sarabong Olle Trail. Overall, a nice, characterful place in a good neighborhood.

I couldn't find Munhwa Motel and saw Munhwajang Guesthouse, so I was a bit surprised. From the outside it looks old and shabby, but the interior has been renovated and is clean. The bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap, and there are toothbrushes, toothpaste, and disposable shower towels. A very clean, great value place. There is a microwave and water dispenser on the first floor. There is no elevator.
