Gwangju Sangmu Hotel Masters

Whenever I visit my in-laws in Sangmu District, my husband always insists on sleeping out for one night, so we tried a few lodging places near the Sangmu business area and this was by far the worst. (1) The interior looks like it is about 20 years old. (2) There were four towels but they were thin... uncomfortable for women with long hair. (3) The shower gown was in the closet but had a sweaty odor. (4) The comforter and pillows felt unclean, maybe because it is an old hotel. (5) They claimed Netflix was available, but it would not connect. YouTube did not work either. (6) When we asked to change rooms, we were told the other rooms either did not have a TV or the TV did not work. Are there motels or hotels these days without a TV? (7) At 11:00 PM we called Yanolja customer service to file a complaint. After 30 minutes with no response we called again. They said it was being processed. Around midnight they called and said cancellation was not possible but they would credit 20% of the amount we paid. At that hour, since both of us had a drink, we could not move, so we had no choice but to sleep and leave in the morning. Anyway, this was the worst lodging we have used so far.

It's small and so-so. It's in Sangmu District and relatively inexpensive, so I think this level is acceptable. It offers good value for money.

Very clean and nice!! I stayed two nights; they provided towels and disposables well, which was really good!!
