Sokcho Beach Hostel

I had a pretty good stay. It is especially convenient to get around since it is near Sokcho Beach.

Maybe because it has been hot during the day lately, I only asked for the air conditioner remote to dry my hair... The staff complained, saying Sokcho is not hot so why turn on the AC, and asked why I would need the AC when using the hair dryer. Their words made me feel bad. I was only going to use it for about five minutes while drying my hair, not to sleep with it on, but they mocked me for wanting to use the AC. Honestly, some people feel hot and some feel cold depending on the weather, so seeing them sneer about AC use made me decide I probably will not come back. I like Gangneung and have been traveling there once a month since last year, but this is the first time I felt so upset.

It is very close to the sea and you can see the ocean right away, I love it haha.

It was good! The water pressure was strong and it is close to the sea. There was a microwave and a gas stove, so cooking was possible. There are many restaurants nearby, and they held my luggage when I arrived early, which I appreciated.

The room had a view of the sea and Sokcho city. The bed was firm and the room was spacious, which I liked.

The room was nice and warm and great value~! I made a spontaneous late-night reservation from Incheon to see the sunrise and came here. The room was warm so I slept well, and since it was right in front of the sea I went to the beach to watch the sunrise and then came back to sleep lol. The bedding could be a bit thicker for winter—the blanket was thin, but because the room was so warm it was actually perfect. It even felt like a school trip from my student days, so it was perfect for a short one-night stay. Leaving with good memories ^^

It was good. I will use it again next time.
