Hadong Namdo

The accommodation was very clean and well-maintained. I had booked a double bed but by mistake got an ondol room; they kindly switched it to a double bed for me.. Waking up to the flowing river behind and the chirping birds in the morning was pure healing. I didn’t know beforehand, but the ground-floor clam restaurant is run by the owner’s wife and their son was there too; they were very kind and the food... was so delicious that I enjoyed every bite. A pleasant place to stay and a tasty meal remain as good memories of the trip. I rested well, thank you, owner ^^

This was a place I chose suddenly. To be honest I had no expectations, but it was so clean and had everything I needed that I was surprised. I rested very well. This is a place I definitely want to come back to. Highly recommended. The restaurant run together with the accommodation also has great-tasting food.

I hope the motel owner sees this. I stayed here cheaply for a short time as part of a budget trip, and while I will visit Hadong again in the future, I don’t think I will come back to this place. The accommodation itself is not a big deal, but even so, the stale smell on the pillowcases and sheets and the musty smell of the towels were extremely unpleasant. Especially the towel smell was so bad that after drying off I smelled like a rag and had to wash again. If there had been no cigarette smell I might have overlooked the bathroom and cleaning, but bedding and towels that touch the body should at least not smell like that even in a cheap motel. Also, I came because of reviews saying the attached restaurant was tasty, but it was just so-so.. The pancake tasted like it had not been fried with enough oil, the seasoned side dish was mostly cabbage, and only the seaweed tasted nutty. I’m leaving this review because if a few small things were improved, it could be a better place.

The bathroom was not cleaned, the basic towels were like foot rags as everyone agreed, the toothbrush was the worst quality, bottled water was below the basic amount, the room was small yet listed as a 4-person room and charged expensively. With how competitive motels are now and how clean and service-oriented many are, running a business in the countryside with an attitude of "sleep here if you need to" and registering on NOL despite not meeting standards is unacceptable — you need to wake up to this.

I was here on a business trip and had a good rest.

There is a strong odor coming from the towel. When I wiped my body with that towel, the smell seemed to cling to me ^^

Two large beds, a TV, and the bathroom was clean. A satisfying place for the price.

This is a place I go to every time I visit Hadong; it's clean and nice.

The biggest advantage is being within walking distance of Hwagae Market! It's on the Seomjin River, so you get a Seomjin River view. Overall it's clean but has an older feel. Good value for a one-night stay, haha

Perfect for one person. The riverside view is great and the room was warm. I rested well. The downside is the soundproofing is a bit weak.
