Overall it was clean, the owner was very kind, and the instructions were good!! Breakfast included cereal/toast/smoked eggs, so it was convenient for a quick meal :))

I booked accommodation near Gangneung Station for a meeting with an acquaintance. I hope the place prospers, so I give 5 stars. Below is an honest review. It seems the place was remodeled from an old motel into H Avenue. The owner is friendly and the room was clean. ¤ Accessibility: Because Gangneung Station is almost the center of Gangneung, accessibility is good. To the west are Gyodong housing complex (youthful area) and Yucheon district (many good restaurants); to the east is Songjeong Beach (personally my second favorite after Jumunjin Beach); to the north are Gyeongpo Lake (recommended for water lilies in summer) and Gyeongpodae; to the south is Myeongju-dong (a street of aesthetic cafes). Especially good for walkers. By car, travel times are similar to most places (except far spots like Jumunjin or Jeongdongjin). On the other hand, that also means it is a bit ambiguous. Coming in and out of Gangneung is convenient: close to the IC, right next to Gangneung Station, and near Gangneung Central Market. ¤ Facilities and convenience: Parking space is limited; it feels like Tetris and if you leave the keys at the desk you do not have to move your car. There was no facial cleanser, which was a pity. A simple breakfast is provided. There is a smoking room on each floor (you can take the elevator wearing slippers and go down without smoking in the room). A convenience store is nearby and Homeplus is about a 10-minute walk. ¤ Service: The owner was very kind and greeted us with a warm smile, which felt almost like visiting the countryside. They give a coupon for one free stay if you collect 10 stamps (the owner said there is no expiration date). ¤ Room condition: I will speak based on the room I stayed in. Cleanliness (a basic and very important point) was what I liked most. If you look closely you can see traces of the old place, but not enough to bother you. Soundproofing is good; I slept quietly. The air conditioning worked well. I was surprised the floor was soft. ☆ Overall rating by my standards: 5.0 / 4.0 - Recommended walking itinerary for pedestrians (about 10 minutes on foot between stops): 1. Lunch at Eomji-ne or Dokdo-ne (personally I prefer Eomji-ne) 2. Check in 3. Stroll Gangneung Central Market to prevent a blood sugar spike 4. Recharge with caffeine at the cafes in Myeongju-dong 5. Go to Birdnamu Brewery for craft beer and chicken, or return to the room to rest and then visit the Wolhwa Street night market 6. Take a taxi back to the accommodation Suggestions: It would be nice to have a simple map or guide showing nearby tourist spots, how to get to them, and recommended restaurants. Since it is near the station, the place should target walking guests.

The owner was very kind, and the room condition was clean and nice! Hot water came out strongly 👍👍 My friend and I played games on the computer and it ran well~ I will visit again if I get the chance!

I visit Gangneung regularly and was able to rest very comfortably! They upgraded the room for me, so I think I rested even more comfortably!

I usually find leaving reviews bothersome, but the place was so nice that I had to leave one!! Parking felt a bit difficult because the location is in a small alley, but the owner personally guided me to a spot and showed me where to park, so you can park without worry!! The accommodation was really clean and above all the scent was so nice! Even my boyfriend, who usually cannot smell strong scents, said he liked it a lot! The location is convenient, with nearby convenience stores and plenty of food options, which is great! This is a place I think I will stay at again!!
