Sokcho Doglia Hotel (DOGLIA HOTEL)

Enjoyable, good atmosphere, and great location. The bathroom is super clean, and the rooftop snacks and food are amazing—so good.

I love traveling with my dog and I like the East Sea, so I try to come to Gangwon Province about once a month. When choosing a pet-friendly place, my top priorities are beach accessibility for my sand-loving dog and a playground or field where a ball-obsessed pup can run around. From experience, it’s been hard to find both, and if I had to give up one, many pensions ended up being dirty or very restrictive. I had noticed Doglaya for a while because it has a rooftop, has a bit of a guesthouse feel, and seemed like a place where my dog could comfortably play. Since I got my summer vacation approved early, I went right away. The owner — a woman — met us before check-in and came out to help us park, which made us feel really welcome. She even brought a snack for my dog, though my dog couldn’t have it because of allergies ㅠㅠ The rooftop was great for running around, and the self-serve food options were very varied! I especially liked the thoughtful detail of using baby wet wipes, so the wipes could be used for both babies and dogs. The room itself was clean and very tidy, even though it’s pet-friendly. They had all the dog supplies, so next time I thought I could travel much lighter without bringing a ton of my own stuff. My dog seemed nervous and would only want to go outside for pee and poop even at night, so we went up to the rooftop several times, but since it’s open 24 hours there was no burden and it was very convenient. They said they hold events every Saturday — lots of different events where we got to meet pretty dogs and their owners, greet each other, and socialize, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I think this will be my regular place from now on, haha lol This is an honest review paid for by me!

Wow, truly dog owners should come here twice, three times, ten times!!! The rooftop is well set up and the 24-hour self-bar has ramen, toast, and so much more!! It was a weekend when we went so they even took Polaroid photos for us. Both of us staying there are dog owners, so we naturally chatted on the rooftop, interacted with other pups, and it was wonderful. Many families come with their kids and dogs, the place is clean, and it truly is a hotel for dogs. The owners are extremely kind and the dog shower room on the first floor is very well equipped. Because of this hotel I want to come back to Sokcho.

My boyfriend, our dog Boksil, and I took a quick trip to Sokcho and booked this place last minute, but we were very satisfied. Like other reviews said, the owner was very kind, the room was tidy, and since the owner seems to keep dogs, they really like dogs and took great care of ours! There is a beach right in front, and after visiting the beach we could use the pet shower to wash our dog immediately, and when we were a bit hungry we could go up to the rooftop for snacks or a light meal, so we were really, really satisfied. It was a last-minute booking but we were so happy we will probably stay here again next time we go to Sokcho. It's the best...b

The accommodation was clean and the 24-hour rooftop snacks were great^^ The female owner? The male owner? Both were very kind^^ If I plan another trip nearby I will book again! I had a comfortable stay.

This is probably the first time I've experienced service this good. There wasn't a single bad thing; it was the best stay. The pet-friendly facilities are excellent, the owners are incredibly kind, and the 24-hour self bar is a total hit! I'm even worried about how they can operate like this—it's that kind of top-notch hotel. You must go~~ I'll go again ^^

This was the number one pet hotel I've visited so far T_T T_T I can't believe I only discovered a place like this now..
