There are no windows... the bathroom was shocking...
If I list a few accommodations under 30,000 won bookable via apps around Guro Digital and Gasan Digital, I searched for Wayhome single room, Daeho Motel single room, Goodtime single room, and Pocket Seoul single room on Airbnb, and I have stayed at them. In conclusion, I am currently using Daeho Motel for the fifth time, and I will note what special advantages it has compared to the others. Wayhome - bedding is clean. Some outside noise, no TV, bathroom condition good. Goodtime - bedding smells, there was outside noise, has a TV, bathroom and floor condition poor. Pocket Seoul - bedding clean, severe outside noise, no TV, bathroom and shower are shared and small. Daeho Motel - bedding so-so (not comparable to Wayhome or Pocket Seoul but not smelly), little outside noise, has a TV, bathroom condition poor (I learned the importance of a sink here. Without such basics, it can be so inconvenient..) The negative points mentioned in other people’s reviews are unfortunately mostly true. The bathroom looks like it was DIY renovated with silicone smeared everywhere, the window frame shows some dark spots... there is even a faint moldy smell in the room at times. Still, if you take a hot shower and lie down in the cold air-conditioned room watching TV, you think, "Well, for mid-teens of ten-thousands of won this is okay." I feel like I only talked about negatives, but the other three places I mentioned are around Daerim-dong, where many restaurants didn’t suit my taste. Here there is a Lotte Mart Max within a five-minute walk and many local restaurants, which I like. There is no table in the room, so I recommend eating out or buying something simple to eat in the room. For smoking, there is a shared smoking area in front of the unmanned store by the nearby cafe Coffeeebanada. There is also a CU convenience store right in front. The small refrigerator often has its power plug unplugged when you check in. If you plan to use the fridge, plug it in as soon as you enter. Provided amenities are shampoo, body wash, shower towel, two towels, disposable razor, disposable foam cleanser, disposable toothpaste, and disposable toothbrush. There is no electric kettle, but there is a hair dryer.
At first I was a bit unsure if this was the place I booked, but you get used to it. If you are going to Doksan alone and have nowhere nearby to stay, it is worth a visit. I rested comfortably for one night and am leaving :)
Please don't go. Just sleep outside instead; it's nothing like the photos.
I always have a good experience.
The single room is quieter than I expected and I can rest comfortably, so I like it.
It's nice because I can sleep comfortably at night.
Good for the price; if I have the chance I'll use it again~~~
It's fine for a last-minute one-day stay.
It's better than I expected.
