We always have a good rest here before leaving.

If you pass the check-out time, they will immediately open the door with a master key, so guests who will use the room should be aware of this and be sure to adhere to the check-out time. We checked in at 4:50 PM and were scheduled to check out at 8:50 PM. We were watching a movie with my group when the doorbell rang once even though we had not ordered anything. When I went to the door out of curiosity, someone immediately scanned the door lock tag and I heard the door unlocking. When I answered from the doorway, someone outside informed us that it was check-out time. The door lock had been disengaged, and since I answered quickly, fortunately the door did not open. First, I apologized for being late because I had not noticed the time and said we would get ready quickly. At that time, the time on my phone was 8:56 PM. Entering the room without prior notice after the check-out time is, no matter how you think about it, completely unreasonable. When I went to return the key at the front desk to ask about it, the staff member asked, “The room phone didn’t ring, right?” From that exchange I thought they must have known the room phone was not reachable before opening the door. The phone hadn’t rung, and it could have been due to an issue with the room’s phone or facilities, but when I asked if they could open the door like that, the staff only said they would go upstairs and check, and they did not seem to see any problem with opening the door with a master key. Naturally, they offered no apology. Although it was not intentional and we were late, I offered to pay an extra fee out of apology; they did not charge us separately for that. Afterwards I went outside the motel to check the time, which was 9:11 PM. I apologize for delaying their cleaning schedule because of the late check-out. However, if the phone is not reachable and the key has not been returned, even if they were going to notify us at the door, common sense would seem to require ringing the doorbell a few more times first. I am not sure whether the person at the front desk Saturday evening was the manager or an employee, but they showed no concern about entering the room with a master key.
