I'm not the type to leave reviews and usually don't write them, but I couldn't let this pass without saying something. Out of more than 5,000 reviews, mine may not be very helpful, but I hope other guests won't be caught off guard like I was. The accommodation itself was ordinary. Compared to other motels, there was nothing particularly good or bad. Still, I gave one star because they demanded an additional 40,000 KRW in cash at check-in. I booked this place because it was cheaper than other options. I even canceled a prior Airbnb reservation and rebooked here, but with the extra 40,000 KRW charged on site, the price difference with other places basically disappeared. When I asked about the extra charge, I was told, "It's written in the notice," "Because it's a consecutive holiday stay, an extra 40,000 KRW applies," and "If you stay multiple nights, we can't offer day-use rooms, so an extra fee occurs." Even as someone who has used many accommodations, I found this hard to understand, and when I asked around, most people said most places either offer discounts for consecutive-night stays or at least do not charge extra. In cases like this, it seems more appropriate to include the fee in the total price at the time of booking. Check-in time was late at 10:00 PM, but I booked the motel because it was cost-effective. The unexpected extra charge was quite upsetting and left a bad first impression of the trip. I didn't see anything about this in other reviews, so I'm leaving this in hopes that no one else has to go through the same experience. Please check not only room condition and price but also the property notices before booking. I contacted Yanolja, and they said they could not intervene in on-site payments. They mentioned this happens often, but since this was my first time experiencing it, I wanted to write this in hopes of improvement.
It was quiet, so it was great for a relaxing stay!
There is a computer and it's clean, so I would consider returning.
Hot water comes out in a steady gush, which I like. It's not super clean but not dirty either. Good value for the price.
