A complex cultural space where you can find operas, musicals, performances, exhibitions, and more. It is a perfect place to enjoy cultural life, with an opera house that hosts performances of all kinds of arts, a music hall that hosts concerts and academies, and the Hangaram Art Museum, where you can see artworks such as photography, artwork, and sculpture. Outside, there is a plaza with a large lawn and a world music fountain, as well as lectures where you can learn about your favorite genre through experiential programs.

Opera Theater
The Opera Theater is the flagship venue of the Seoul Arts Center’s Opera House. As Korea’s first theater dedicated to opera and ballet, it features 2,340 seats, a grand auditorium, and superior acoustic design. It serves as the stage for major performances by world-class productions and national art troupes. Starting in January 2026, the original tour of the musical Spirited Away is scheduled to be performed here.

The auditorium spans from the 1st to the 4th floor, with seats arranged to surround the stage. Box seats are located on both sides of the stage. The venue is designed to ensure sound is evenly distributed to every seat. The 1st floor offers a vivid, immersive experience close to the performance, while the upper floors provide a panoramic view of the entire stage. How to Get There
The closest subway station to the Seoul Arts Center is Nambu Bus Terminal Station (Line 3), which is about a 12-minute walk away. If you prefer to take the bus, head to Exit 5 of Nambu Bus Terminal Station and take Village Bus No. 22. Get off after two stops at the 'Seoul Arts Center' stop. Cross the street to reach the venue. Once inside, clear signage will make it easy to find your way to the Opera House.
